David holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from SUNY Plattsburgh and completed graduate-level coursework in finance at Boston University. He ultimately chose to leave graduate school to pursue entrepreneurship, founding eVacuumStore.com, which has grown into a successful national e-commerce business. David currently serves as the Director of eCommerce for the company. Earlier in his career, he worked at State Street Financial and owned multiple Electrolux retail stores, giving him hands-on experience in finance, operations, and small-business management.
David brings a strong background in budget analysis, accountability, and operational oversight. As a former member of the Canton Finance Committee, he worked directly on reviewing Town budgets, capital planning, and long-term financial decisions—always focused on protecting taxpayers while ensuring Canton delivers high-quality municipal services.
He also served on the Town’s Police Audit Committee, where he supported professional oversight, transparency, and public trust in local government. This work reinforced his belief in clear policies, fair processes, and accountability—while respecting the critical and challenging work performed by public safety professionals.
Beyond Town Hall, David is deeply engaged in Canton’s community life. He has volunteered with local youth sports, serves as a site leader for the Canton Cleanup, and understands firsthand the challenges facing families and seniors. He believes public spaces, schools, and recreation should be managed fairly, sustainably, and responsibly. David supports thoughtful investments that strengthen Canton and opposes spending that lacks clear justification or oversight.
David is not running for politics or personal gain. He is running to serve—to ask the hard questions, demand transparency, and help ensure Canton’s decisions are made legally, responsibly, and in the best interest of the entire community.
David Clough believes that good government starts with listening, facts, and integrity—and that Canton is strongest when residents trust the people making decisions on their behalf.
